Match Report Press Report

Abshot 3 Lost to Winchester 6 in a close match.

With the away team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, Home advantage looked to be needed to take the win. The stats turned out to be correct, with a fine Away win.

On paper, the number 1 string should have been the closest, with only 14 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Paul Reader winning through.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 65 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Paul Reader.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 4 string, Chris Lucas, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, William Maclean, who over-turned a 659 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
